Application Acceleration in the Cloud

Session Date & Time: Day 3, March 25, 9.45am EST (6.45am West Coast) (45min)
Panelists: Bojan Simic, Principal Analyst at TRAC Research, Owen Garrett, Director of Product Marketing, Zeus Technologies, Opher Dubrovsky, AVP Product Marketing, Crescendo Networks and Michael Kuperman, VP of Operations, Cotendo.
Keywords: enterprise applications in cloud.
Abstract The emergence of cloud computing is driving a new demand for application delivery solutions, but it is also changing the market landscape for this type of technology. As organizations are deploying cloud computing services to improve the flexibility and scalability of their infrastructures, they are expecting to achieve similar benefits from using load balancing and other application acceleration technologies. As a result, many application acceleration vendors are upgrading their technology offerings to adjust to these changes and ensure that their solutions can be as effective in the cloud as they are in traditional, internally managed environments.

This panel session will highlight the role that application acceleration technologies play in enabling cloud services. Additionally, it will provide an insight into technology capabilities for application acceleration that are becoming increasingly important when organizations deploy cloud services.
