Abstract: “Cloud” is the latest word in the present hi-tech era to which major organizations are today looking at. Research firm *Gartner predicts that “cloud computing is expected to mature in seven years”. It has the potential to transform current business processes towards being more efficient and profitable especially when the world is reviving from an economic slowdown. The objective of the present study is to actually take the concept of cloud computing one step further. Cloud marketing emerges as the future of marketing by combining traditional marketing with software as a service. How efficiently could this be deployed as a business strategy by organizations?
A survey among industry professionals was conducted with the objective of quantifying the importance of cloud marketing in contemporary organizations. The tool used was a questionnaire.
Analytical tools and statistical tools were used in order to assess the responses obtained in the questionnaire.
The findings are original as they have been deduced from the questionnaire and personal interactions. The study tries to span across multiple industry domains in order to develop a fair solution for the problem under consideration.
The study would help organizations and individuals to get a better idea of what cloud marketing is all about. It is not merely a jargon but will prove to be critical business strategy in the near future.
It is an analytical paper where various point of views have been closely analysed.
