  • Server & storage virtualization,
  • Infrastructure workflow automation,
  • Well-defined interfaces (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, …) for common online services, and finally,
  • Competitive cost / pricing models

This talk will focus on related innovations and best-practices around storage as the foundation for successful and efficient Service Oriented Cloud infrastructures. Particular attention will also be devoted to storage-related Cloud standards such as the Storage Network Industry Association’s (SNIA) Cloud Data Management Interface (CDMI).
