Bio:
Dr. Kristof Kloeckner,
CTO Enterprise Initiatives and Vice President Cloud Platforms, IBM Corporation, will present the day one keynote address at the upcoming CloudSlam 2010 virtual event being held March 23-25. Drawing on experience of working with IBM customers and operating 13 cloud centers worldwide, he will review the conditions under which cloud computing can deliver its promise of flexibility and agility, as well as share insights around the different types of emerging cloud architectures. Based in Armonk, New York, Dr Klockner was appointed to his present position in January 2009. He was previously CTO and Vice President of Strategy and Technology for IBM SWG and has held executive leadership positions in strategy, architecture and development in Germany, the UK and the USA, including Vice President of Development for Tivoli Software, Vice President of Business Integration Development and Director of the Hursley Laboratory in the United Kingdom. He joined IBM in 1984 as a development engineer in the Boeblingen Development Laboratory in Germany.
