March 2010 Newsletter

Dear Cloud Computing Enthusiast,

As Chairman of the CloudSlam™ initiative I am writing with an update to how things are progressing with this years CloudSlam™ initiative. I hope that many of you will attend this years annual CloudSlam’10™ virtual event - March 23 – March 25 – Location - Online.

Tickets for this “not to be missed event” are priced modestly at $50 each and are available through our website which can be accessed by visiting the following link http://cloudslam10.com/content/registration

I wanted to also let you know that we are also undergoing a process to invite all members of our LinkedIn Cloud Computing community to join our bespoke Twitter community – www.twitter.com/cloudslam

By connecting to us on Twitter, you will be able to keep up real time with all news, developments and event proceeding details as well as find out what we are up to with moving breaking announcements.

As you may be aware, we have posted some recent news relating to our CloudSlam’10™ initiative.

In-case you missed the news – please visit the following links below:

In particular reference to our March 8th announcements – we have decided to implement 2 world premier, 3-D virtual environments for the CloudSlam’10™ event. In this capacity, you will actually now be able to jump into the event virtually and network personally with fellow delegates in a way which has not been possible before. You will also be able to access real time content on demand from some of the hottest sources in the business of IT.

Distinguished members of the C-Level community are invited to attend our C-Level lounge, a state of the art virtual interface which is solely designed for high level networking purposes.

So, if you are tired of all the time wasting & hassle associated with physically travelling to an event; i.e packing, booking, flying & moving from pillar to post, then this virtual event initiative is just for you!

All you need is an internet connection and a relatively up to date pc (or mac) but in particular you must have Java 1.5 or higher installed! If you don’t already have this installed, please visit http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp where you can download this for free.

Full tutorials on how to use the interface will be available on our website in the next few days. – Please check back shortly.

We are however encouraging all our delegates and even those members who are yet to confirm their attendance to try out this new interactive concept feature. You can also get a sneak peek into how the environments will look and feel by visiting the following link.

Here you will get access to our platform partner’s demo environment which will give you a great idea of how this feature can be of great benefit for this and future events.

If you simply wish to enter the "Avatar" environment to see it for yourself, then click the above link and enter as a guest, following the 3 simple steps to get you on the platform.

Our own CloudSlam’10™ Virtual Expo & C-Level Forum environments will be based on a completely different design and experience perspective designed with you – our valued members, in mind.

At CloudSlam™ we are always aiming to bring you the latest in innovations and developments in the Cloud Computing and IT space. We felt that this year we would do something special by implementing the 3D-Explorer. This is a new technology which we are introducing for CloudSlam’10™ for the very first time. This is to provide you with a whole new experience which hopefully will be something that catches on for the future. As with all new technologies, there may be some teething problems which we hope to better understand and learn from your own experiences. We would love to hear from you - in particular as to how you found this “Avatar” experience, so that we may be able to improve this feature even further for the future.

We hope that you all like the interface and that this will be something that you find easy and friendly to use; in a bid to revolutionise the way in which you thought virtual events were possible.
