This session will explore some of the performance optimization and management implications (both good and bad) that cloud computing choices have for: - Designing new applications for cloud computing - Migrating existing applications to the cloud - Choosing cloud application services

We will also look at some examples of how these application performance opportunities and pitfalls can shape enterprise cloud computing strategies.

Jasmine Noel, Ptak/Noel's founding partner, has over 15 years experience as an IT management analyst and consultant. She helps clients understand how new technologies and business trends affect how IT organizations manage the performance of business services and applications. Noel served previously as director of systems and applications management at Hurwitz Group, where she formulated and managed the company’s research agenda. She was also a senior analyst at D.H. Brown Associates, where her responsibilities included technology trend analysis in the network and systems management space. Noel holds a bachelor of science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master of science from the University of Southern California.
